For a long time I had this desire to create my own blog, but did not know how to. Then as usual our tech-savvy daughter Piyusha came to the rescue. She created something in 90 minutes which would have taken me – no it wouldn’t have taken me much time – I would have just surrendered to a professional. God knows how much the professional would have charged – talking of money, I don’t know if Piyusha has given me a free service, but at least with her I can negotiate.
This is an attempt to write something which we all think or feel but do not express in words. Sometimes we don’t look at the things this way. Sometimes we don’t know we’re looking at it but don’t acknowledge. Also as the Title suggests – it’s a wordplay on three fronts, if I may. One, it’s just twisting of our family name, two, it’s trying to find the Jerry in you, and three, in Marathi जेरीस आणणे means pester someone till that person gets exhausted.
Well let’s see, or rather you’ll see what I have done – because it’s only the sages who can see oneself. Mind you, no Artificial Intelligence is used here, except whatever is stuffed in my brain over the years by parents, teachers, family, friends, relatives, writers, poets, musicians, actors, directors, unknown people, events, places, and some imagination – let’s call this natural.

मित्रानो आणि मैत्रिणींनो
जे माझे मित्र नाहीयेत [असे त्यांना वाटते] ते सोडून बाकी सर्व माझे मित्रच आहेत. आणि ६ वर्षांच्या ईराया पासून ८४ वर्षांच्या तिच्या पणजी पर्यंत सर्व जणी माझ्या मैत्रिणी आहेत.
तर या प्रचंड मोठ्या ऑडियन्स पैकी ज्यांना वाचण्याची दुर्बुद्धी होते, त्यांच्या करता हा ब्लॉग आहे.
फार पूर्वीपासून असला काहीतरी उपद्व्याप करायची इच्छा होती. अशा आपल्या खूप इच्छा असतात पण आपल्या पिढीजात आळशीपणामुळे त्या तिथेच राहतात, पण इथे प्राजक्ता मानगुटीवर बसली आणि पियुषाने तर फक्त दीड तासात त्यातल्या technical गोष्टीचा फडशा पाडला. हे पाहिल्यावर ही माझीच मुलगी आहे ना अशी शंका आली, पण मग आठवलं, की ती प्राजक्ताची पण मुलगी आहे. आणि माझे दिव्य अक्षर वाचून शुद्ध टायपिंगचे काम माझ्या मोठ्या मुलीने, ऋतुजाने केले.
माझ्या, तुमच्या मनात अनेक गोष्टी असतात, ज्या आपण शब्दात मांडण्याचा फारसा प्रयत्न करत नाही. कधी-कधी हे मनात आहे हे सुद्धा आपल्याला माहित नसते. कधी-कधी त्याच गोष्टीकडे जरा वेगळ्या चष्म्यातून पहिले तर जरा वेगळी मजा येते. नाहीतरी आता नेहमीचाच पदार्थ वेगळ्या पद्धतीने करायची फॅशन आहेच. साध्या चहाचे हे वेगवेगळे अवतार बघा – तंदूर चहा, गुळाचा चहा, बासुंदी चहा, अमृततुल्य चहा, ब्लॅक टी, maccha, bulleted टी, चुलीवरचा चहा, इराण्याकडचा अफू घातलेला, टी बॅग्स चा ओतता ओतताच थंड पडलेला आणि गावाकडचा जीभ भाजणारा. तर असाच हा नेहमीच्या गोष्टीचा तंदूर.
या नावात थोडा शब्दच्छल करायचा प्रयत्न केला आहे. आमचे जेरे हे आडनाव, Tom and Jerry मधला उपद्व्यापी जेरी आणि ‘जेरीस आणणे’ हा वाक्प्रचार, याची ही मिसळ आहे. जाता जाता – [आमच्याकडे ३ मांजरी आहेत. त्यातली सर्वात लहान मांजर दोन्ही मोठ्यांची खोडी काढते किंवा mess up करते, आणि मग मार खाते. तोच आमचा Jerry आहे.]
बरे हे लिहिताना कुठे AI वापरला नाहीये. लहानपणापासून आतापर्यंत आई- अण्णा, वेगवेगळे शिक्षक, कुटुंब, मित्रमंडळी, नातेवाईक, लेखक, कवी, कलाकार, दिग्दर्शक, घटना, ठिकाणे, अनोळखी व्यक्ती आणि स्वतःची कल्पनाशक्ती यांनी इतक्या गोष्टी डोक्यात कोंबल्यात, आणि त्यालाच आपण नैसर्गिक बुद्धिमत्ता म्हणूया.
हा उपद्व्याप आवडला तर नक्की कळवा, नाही आवडला तर नक्कीच कळवाल, आणि सूचना द्यायच्या असतील तर मग खात्रीच कि तुम्ही कळवणार. पण खरंच comment करा, मला पण जरा वाचू दे ना.
